New Delhi: After deploying security forces across the Indo-Nepal border for the first time, now Nepalese citizens have allegedly pelted stones at the Sashatra Seema Bal (SSB) team which was on a routine patrol in "no man's land" in Uttarakhand bordering Nepal.

As per reports, the incident happened around the missing pillar number 811 on ‘no man’s land’.

Following this, the SSB force carried an inspection of the area on Saturday.

As per reports, although the ‘no man’s land’ has remained a flash-point between two nations, Nepal is said to be making these aggressive efforts now at the behest of China.

Nepal's Darchula and Kairali districts share borders with India's Uttarakhand state. It was reported that Nepal residents have encroached  an area around a missing pillar in ‘no man’s land’ and reportedly planted tree saplings.

Later, through a joint initiative, the Indian and the Nepal forces swung into action. Joint team inspected the area on Thursday and agreed to clear any "encroachments", a report said.
