Chongqing theme park attempted to open the new bungee attraction in a unique way, which turned out to be loathsome. They decided to force a pig to bungee jump off a 68-metre high tower.

In the CCTV footage, a pig weighing 75 kg can be seen tied to a pole, carried by two men to the top of a tower before being pushed off. Later, the pig was slaughtered, according to reports. The animal can be heard squealing and struggling in the air.

Regarding this, people from all around condemned the theme park and shared images of the stunt. They also called it animal cruelty and torture.

The theme park in China has apologised as it received backlash on social media. According to Global Times, the park has said that it would now "strengthen regulation of its marketing activities" and provide "better services and a harmonious environment to improve tourists' experience".
