Samsung unveils television worth ₹24 lakh

The electronics major, Samsung is said to have released the new televisions with an objective to penetrate deep into vast commercial television markets of India.

 

The company has earmarked 1 million smart televisions' sale in FY17 as it sold 2700 to 2800 televisions globally every day.

 

With the launch of this new series of televisions, the company is eyeing an increase in its market share to 36%, said by Rajeev Bhutani, Vice President of Samsung India, Consumer Electronics Division.

 

The company, however, boasts of 46% market share in the prevailing television market in India. The company’s management is planning to enhance this to the slot of 60%.

 

Nine television models with a curvature style, embedded with SUHD technology have already been released. These SUHD television sets with ingrained Quantum data technology are said to display 64 times more colour shades which come closer to real-life experience when compared to the normal UHD (Ultra High Definition) television sets.

 

Keeping all types of customers in mind, the company had released seven types of Television sets under the name ‘Joy Beat’ whose price ranges from ₹28,900 to ₹70,000, and the new generation smart televisions would come from 23 inches to 88 inches and price varies from ₹34,500 to ₹7 lakh.
