Samsung may recall 'explosive' Galaxy Note 7
In a major blow to Samsung, batteries of its latest sensation Galaxy Note 7 have reportedly exploded when the device was charged in various parts of the world.
Â
The news has dealt a body blow to the high expectations from the device, which was launched just a week ahead of Apple’s grand launch.Â
Â
It was hoped that the new Samsung device would give a tough fight to the next iPhone after reports emerged that Apple may not introduce significant changes in the upcoming Apple device.
Â
South Korea’s news agency, Yonhap, reported, "Products installed with the problematic battery accounts for less that 0.1 per cent of the volume sold."
Â
However, India has been lucky enough not to encounter any hazards as the device is still in the pre-order state.
Â
After the reports emerged, Samsung announced that it would replace the batteries of all these mobile phones for free.Â
