Samsung Galaxy S8 All you need to know

Though there has been no official word from Samsung, a string of rumours have already given us a sneak peek into what the upcoming alleged Galaxy S8 could possibly feature. Now, the latest 3D renders (via GSM Arena) show the device measuring 152.38 x 78.51 x 7.94mm. And, that would be the S8 Plus, which will be taller and wider.

The smaller Galaxy S8 could measure 140.14mm x 72.20 x 7.30mm. The calculations conclude the device could feature a display larger than the S7 edge, but still come in the same compact form factor.  Meanwhile, there has been no dearth of reports pointing at what the S8 has in store. Previously, we've heard the company's plans of launching two variants of the device - a 5.1-inch model and larger 6-inch model.

Both are likely to get the AMOLED display. So, the company essentially wants a smaller variant that can serve as a successor to the S7, while a larger could fill the void left by the Note 7. The larger is also rumoured to come with a stylus.

Another leaked render reveals that the device may come sans dual camera setup for the S8 non-Plus variant, and the home button may also be given a miss. Both are likely to run the latest flavour of Android Nougat and come powered by a Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895. A recent leak on Twitter suggests that the Galaxy S8 could sell at a starting price of $849, which is roughly Rs 57,700.

Previous rumours also claimed whopping 8GB RAM, which is 2GB more RAM from the 6GB figure we'd been hearing so far. However, there could be two RAM options. We’d also seen a report claiming Samsung has trademarked the term 'Beast mode. Under this mode, the phone will offer a performance to its maximum capability.

The smartphone that was earlier speculated to be showcased at the Mobile World Congress is now likely to be launched on 29 March and hit stores by 15 April. However, take the set of features with a pinch of salt for now, as we await an official announcement from the company. Until then, watch the space for all the latest updates related to the Galaxy S8.
