Google's new ranking website strategy might affect your business; know more
Google is coming up to start considering ranking websites as per "page experience", which might impact the business.
Google started to rank websites as per "page experience" in November 2020, but this time they are developing more changes to the strategy with more updates that will start rolling out from June 2021. The new update is developed to highlight pages that have great user experiences.Â
Google said in an official statement in a blog post that even if "page experience" is one of their main factors their system take account for, they are not making any drastic change. They said, "We're doing this in a gradual rollout; we will be able to monitor for any unexpected or unintended issues."
Google further explained, "The page experience update will not matter completely till the end of August 2021, and the update will consider several page experience signals (LCP, FID, CLS). The Top Stories carousel feature will also get updated to include all news content, as long as it meets the Google News policies."
Google will not further show the AMP badge icon to indicate AMP content. "You can expect this change is to come to our products as the page experience update begins to roll out in mid-June," Google further added.
They will develop a "page experience" report that will include Core Web Vitals with other components such as HTTPS security, absence of intrusive interstitials, safe browsing and mobile-friendliness. There will also be an updated Search Performance report to allow publishers to filter pages with good page experience.
"Page experience" will enable you to quickly evaluate the performance, and you can also improve additional changes as per the need.
