As per reports, Google has raised $4.6 million, which is in Indian currency Rs 33 crores. A few non-profit organisations are connected with Google's campaign, Goonj, GiveIndia, Charities Aid Foundation India and United Way of Mumbai.

Google is also testing a new Q&A feature in Maps where they will ask about the availability of beds and medical oxygen in selected locations to help people find beds and oxygen easily.

But, Google added, "As this will be user generated content and not provided by authorised sources, it may be required to verify the accuracy and freshness of the information before utilising it."

Google is now also showing vaccination centres along with testing centres on their Search and Maps app in English and other 8 languages.

Last month Google announced that they would donate Rs 135 crore ($18 million) to get urgent help regarding medical supplies in India. The big tech giant is also using its Youtube platform to promote information about Covid-19.

Google said, "As well as authoritative answers to queries, we're using our channels to help extend the reach of health information campaigns."

NOTE: Asianet News humbly requests everyone to wear masks, sanitize, maintain social distancing and get vaccinated as soon as eligible. Together we can and will break the chain #ANCares #IndiaFightsCorona
