Google Chrome has been testing a new option for its users to stay updated about the content they care about. They were spotted testing the 'Follow' feature for websites, so how does it work?

A user has to click on the 'Follow' button on websites they like, and they will get fresh, recent contents from the website on the 'Following' section of Chrome.

The main intention of the company is mentioned in a blog post. Janice, Google Chrome's Product Manager, said, "Follow the websites they care about, from the large publishers to the small neighbourhood blogs."

This feature will be based on RSS (Really Simple Syndication), and thus, Google has asked website publishers to be up to date with their RSS feature.

Though there's no confirmed date to roll out this feature, it's just an experiment, and it was spotted on Chrome Canary.

So, now it's getting tested on Chrome Canary with a selected few members; further, it will go to Chrome Beta to get tested for any more bugs or issues and then it will roll out to every user.
