The junior Indian archers came up with an outstanding performance at Wroclaw's 2021 World Archery Youth Championships. They have managed to win three golds in the men's women's and mixed team compound events.

Initially, the Indian women beat Turkey 228-216 in the final for the gold. The pair of Parneet Kaur, Priya Gurjar and Ridhi Varshini completely outplayed the Turkish.

It was followed by the men, who outlasted the United States of America in the final for the same medal. The trio of Kushal Dalal, Sahil Chaudhary and Nitin Apar edged past the Americans 233-231 in a close encounter.

Earlier, on August 10, the compound archery girls, along with the mixed team, had claimed a couple of golds in the same event. They had also smashed a couple of U-18 world records in the qualifiers for the event.

While Priya has fired 696 to take the pole in the individual event, Parneet and Ridhu Senthilkumar had shot 2067/2160, thereby surpassing the world record by 22 points. The previous record was held by the USA, of 2045/2160 points.
