The preparations for the Tokyo Olympics are underway in full swing for the Indian athletes. Meanwhile, the contingent is likely to be more than 120 athletes strong, as it is expected to touch the medal tally to double figures for the first time ever.

However, the athletes cannot do so without some inspiration, especially from the fans. On the same note, Union Sports Minister Kiren Rijiju has urged Indian fans to support the Indian athletes with all their heart, just like they do to the national cricketers.

"I want the Olympics movement and the importance of Olympics to be understood by everyone, spread across the length and breadth of India. Sports is the biggest soft power of a nation," he said, reports IANS.
