The second day of the 16th Hockey India Sub Junior Women National Championship 2026 saw Goans Hockey win in Division 'C' while Hockey Bengal, Hockey Chandigarh and Hockey Uttarakhand won their respective matches in Division 'B' on Thursday in Ranchi, Jharkhand.

Goans Hockey Triumphs in Division 'C'

The day began with a Pool A, Division 'C' match as Goans Hockey defeated Telangana Hockey 6-3. Captain Dellina Mendes (40',41') and Bertila Kerketta (48',52') scored braces for Goans Hockey while Seema Tirkey (3') and Vidya Kumari (16') also contributed with goals, according to a release. Anandi Mahanand (30',36') and Navyashri Akula (15') were the goal scorers for Telangana Hockey.

Division 'B' Results

Hockey Bengal Secures Narrow Victory

In Division 'B', Pool A, Hockey Bengal enjoyed a narrow 1-0 victory over Dadra and Nagar Haveli & Daman and Diu Hockey. Captain Puja Kumari Shaw (21') scored the winning goal in the second quarter for Hockey Bengal.

Hockey Chandigarh's Dominant Performance

Later, in a Division 'B', Pool B match, Hockey Chandigarh registered a commanding 12-1 win over Hockey Gujarat. Captain Kafi (38',46',55',60'), Annu (9',30'), Aanchal (12',14'), Nancy Kashyap (13',18'), Bhawana (10') and Yasmin Sharma (20') scored the goals for Hockey Chandigarh while Captain Niyati Parmar (23') scored the lone goal for Hockey Gujarat.

Hockey Uttarakhand Wins Comfortably

Lastly, Hockey Uttarakhand defeated Hockey Karnataka 6-1 in their Pool B, Division 'B' match. Kareena (10',12',17') scored an early hat-trick for her side while Captain Minakshi (7'), Devyani Joshi (53') and Diya (60') also contributed with goals for Hockey Uttarakhand. Preeti Neelaraddi (31') was the only goalscorer for Hockey Karnataka.
