In what comes as shocking news for the tennis fraternity, Russian doubles tennis player Yana Sizikova has been arrested for a match-fixing allegation. The French police are currently investigating a possible match-fixing scenario relating to the French Open 2020.

Sizikova had participated at Roland Garros last year and had partnered with United States of America's Madison Brengle. However, the duo lost in the opening round to the Romanian pair of Andreea Mitu and Patricia Maria Tig 7-6 (8), 6-4.

According to bookmakers, there were some weird betting patterns, as thousands of euros were reportedly put on the break of serve while the second set was tied at 2-2. Incidentally, Sizikova, who was serving in the game, squandered the set, losing out on love, as the break included a couple of double faults from her.
