Ravi Shastri may have lost the job of India's cricket coach to Anil Kumble, but he is doing a remarkably good job of hiding his disappointment.

In an interview to a leading national daily, the former Team India director said he has already moved on after the issue and that the reasons for his candidature's rejection were not his to contemplate.
"My disappointment was there for a day and that is all. And it happened last week. I have moved on," Shastri was quoted as saying by Times of India.
On why he was allegedly snubbed by Sourav Ganguly, who was one of the interviewers, but decided to skip the meeting with Shastri, the former all-rounder said:
"My job was to give an interview, which I had given. What happened inside is not my lookout. All I can say is that Ganguly wasn't there when I was interviewed and you should ask what problem Ganguly has with me instead of asking me."
