Olympic gold medallist Neeraj Chopra is currently on vacation in the Maldives and posted a video of himself shadow practising javelin throw underwater. Sharing the video on Twitter, Neeraj wrote, ""Aasman par, zameen pe, ya underwater, I'm always thinking of the javelin!""
In the video, Neeraj Chopra can be seen underwater and acting like throwing a spear, quite similar to the one that won him the gold. The 23-year-old athlete also posted photographs from his Maldives holiday in his Instagram stories, one of which reveals him relishing his “healthy breakfast with a view”.
By throwing the javelin a staggering 87.58m to top the charts in Tokyo Olympics, the Haryana boy won a gold medal and positioned himself into history books. The gold is first for the country in track and field, and second for an individual ever after Abhinav Bindra’s in 2008.
Neeraj Chopra has been in the headlines ever since he won the gold in the Tokyo Olympics. Neeraj has also begun training for future tournaments. According to a report, Neeraj is getting “at least half a dozen text messages every day” from newcomers asking about coaches.
