Argentine superstar and Barcelona legend, Lionel Messi’s days at Camp Nou are seemingly counted. He has been in the headlines of late for wrong reasons, while rumours are high that he could leave the Catalan club at the end of the season.

Before the beginning of the ongoing season, Messi reportedly had a fallout with the club management. While he had supposedly handed in a transfer request, it was not entertained. However, it is to be noted that Messi’s current contract comes to an end following the 2020-21 season conclusion in May.

Consequently, he has been linked with some big clubs, as it is also being contemplated that he could leave Barca on a free transfer. He is also positively related with English giant, Manchester City, as he is being backed to reunite with former Barca manager, Pep Guardiola.

Meanwhile, as per an analysis by Canal+, Messi is reportedly learning Franch, along with his family members. It has fuelled the fire to the rumour that the Argentine could be on his way to Paris Saint-Germain. The French champion is the only practical side in the nation to afford him right now. Also, if that happens, Messi would reunite with his former Barca teammate, Neymar.

“Messi and all his family, his wife and children are being taught French. Why is he going to learn French if he is going to sign for Manchester City? This makes no sense. This information, in which I am very confident, is a very reliable source,” Geoffroy Garetier. a French journalist, was quoted as saying.

However, sources from Spanish outlet Diario Sport and Messi’s attendants have denied them learning any other language. Although the situation sounds confusing, based on these rumours, it is no hidden fact that Messi does want to leave Barca. His recent incidents of being a hot head and serving suspensions are also indications that he is growing frustrated at the club. At the same time, it also depends on the club’s presidential elections, slated to be held on March 7.
