SRH pacer Praful Hinge made a sensational IPL debut against the Rajasthan Royals, taking four wickets, including three in his first over. The performance, which he attributed to manifestation, was made more special by his parents' ecstatic celebration in a video that went viral on social media.
Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) pacer Praful Hinge delivered a match-winning performance on his IPL debut against the Rajasthan Royals at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium in Hyderabad on Monday, April 13.

Replacing experienced pacer Jaydev Unadkat in the playing XI, Praful Hinge made an immediate impact with his fiery pace bowling, rattling the Rajasthan Royals’ batting line-up by taking three wickets of Vaibhav Sooryavanshi, Dhruv Jurel, and Lhuan-dre Pretorius in the opening over of his spell, reducing the visitors to 1/3 in the first over of their 217-run chase.
Thereafter, Hinge removed RR captain Riyan Parag for just four runs to register figures of 4/34 at an economy rate of 11.76 in his spell of the first three overs. Vidarbha pacer registered figures of 4/18 at an economy rate of 6, playing a crucial role in dismantling the Rajasthan Royals’ batting line-up.

Praful Hinge’s Parents’ Ecstatic Celebration
As the cricketing world was left in awe of Praful Hinge’s sensational debut, it was his parents’ emotional and ecstatic celebration that stole the spotlight. Hinge’s parents were watching the clash between SRH and RR at their home in Nagpur, and their jubilant reactions to each wicket reflected the pride and emotion of a dream debut coming true.
In a video that went viral on social media, especially X (formerly Twitter), Vidarbha pacer’s parents were seen celebrating ecstatically after their son managed to get his first breakthrough by dismissing dangerous and in-form batter Vaibhav Sooryavanshi on the first ball of his IPL debut.
Thereafter, Hinge’s parents were seen celebrating every wicket wildly, including that of Jurel and Pretorius, and their reactions quickly won hearts across social media.
Praful Hinge became the first bowler to take three wickets in the opening over of the IPL match. The Vidarbha pacer joined the likes of Pat Cummins, Deepak Chahar, Shoaib Akhtar, Mohammed Shami, and Ishant Sharma in the elite list of bowlers to take four wickets on their IPL debut.
Praful Hinge Reflects on his Dream IPL Debut
Praful Hinge was acquired by the Sunrisers Hyderabad for INR 30 lakh at the IPL 2026 mini-auction in December last year, receiving his first-ever league contract and repaid the faith instantly with a sensational debut performance that turned him into an overnight sensation.
Speaking on his debut IPL performance, Hinge stated that he manifested this moment, having written last year about taking four or five wickets on debut and dominating the powerplay, adding that he firmly believes in the power of manifestation.
“I did think about it. Last year, I had written somewhere that whenever I play my first match, I will definitely take four or five wickets,” Hinge said at the post-match presentation.
“And I wanted to dominate as much as possible in the powerplay. (power of manifestation) I believe in it. I don’t know about others, but I do believe,” he added.
Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Rajasthan Royals by 57 runs, recording their second win of the ongoing IPL season.
