Bengaluru: India defeated England by 55 runs in the second T20I here on Wednesday to clinch the three-match blind cricket series with an unassailable 2-0 lead.

England captain Ed Hossel again won the toss and this time he put the hosts in. The skipper himself led from the front and struck with the first ball of the match.

The English bowlers bowled tight lines as they picked four Indian wickets in the first eight overs. Captain Ajay Reddy along with Pankaj Bhue steadied the ship with a hundred-run partnership and posted a daunting target for the visitors.

On Tuesday, India had won the series opener by seven wickets.

The final match of the three-match series will be played on Thursday from 10.30 am.
