Apart from acting Sridevi was also interested in this sport

Bollywood actor Sridevi passed away on Saturday night after a cardiac arrest. She was 54. Not only was the veteran actress known for her beauty but also for her dancing skills and acting chops.

And while these are qualities required to make an actress, she did have one more interest that she did not actively pursue. And that is sports.

In 2012, Boney Kapoor became a co-owner of Bengal Tigers, a team in the Celebrity Cricket League with Sridevi and Raj Shah. The actress had come down for the inauguration ceremony at the Grand Hotel in Kolkata. Thereafter, every time there was a Bengal Tigers match, Sridevi was at the stands.

Sourav Ganguly too was present at the inaugural Celebrity Cricket League.

Maybe that's the reason why he was one of the first sportsperons to offer condolences on her death.

Bengali actor Jisshu Sengupta, the former captain of Bengal Tigers, told the Times of India, "Mr India was the first Sridevi film that I watched and became a huge fan of hers. Apart from Kajol and Madhuri Dixit, there is no one till date who can match her level of dance performances and expressions. I have been in complete awe of her.”

And with her death not only an amazing actress but also a sports enthusiast has left us.
