'Kundara rape accused killed minor boy seven years back'

 

 

After the arrest of Victor Daniel, (66), for raping and killing his 10-year-old granddaughter, a family has come up alleging that he killed a minor boy in a similar manner seven years back. Though the relatives had complained against Daniel, the police did not take the allegation seriously.

A woman from Kundara alleged that her 14-year-old son was killed by Daniel in 2010. The boy was found hanging in his home in mysterious circumstances. Even though the family complained about it, the police did not register a complaint, said the mother of the deceased.

"Daniel and his son used to threaten us when we were residing near their house," the mother told Asianet News. "Daniel's son used to threaten my daughter that he would rape and kill her," she said.

 

"On the night of his death, Daniel's son Shibu called us and said that they were after my girl but ended up killing my son," the woman alleged. The police concluded that it was a case of suicide and was not ready to register a murder case, she added.

 

Now, after seven years, the police have decided to probe the allegations. The Kundara police officials claimed that the family had not raised a complaint back in 2010.

Yet another case of rape was registered against Daniel the other day after his close relative complained that he abused 13-year-old girl.

Daniel was arrested the other day after his wife, daughter and granddaughter told the police that he used to sexually abuse his younger granddaughter. The 10-year-old girl was found hanging in her house three weeks back.
