BJP leader attacked in Kannur

In yet another case of suspected political violence, a BJP leader got injured in an attack by a nine-member gang in Kannur. 
 

BJP Kannur mandalam vice-president Sushil Kumar, 48, suffered stab injuries from an attack by an unidentified gang that came on three motorbikes. 
 

The attack took place at 9 pm on Wednesday, near Talap near Kannur town. The gang members had worn masks. Kumar suffered injuries on stomach and legs. 
 

BJP registered a police complaint alleging that the attack was carried out by CPM. However, they have not mentioned anyone personally. 
 

Police said they have started an investigation, but no arrests have been made.
