'Higher courts are corrupted,' says Justice Chelamewswar

Retired Justice Chelameswar criticised the credentials of the Indian Judiciary. He says the higher courts are corrupt.

"If democracy should exist there should be an independent judiciary. Now the Indian judiciary is facing some kind of threat," he said, talking to the media about the issues in the Indian judiciary.

He continued by saying that it is through personal relationships and political connections that make the judicial system corrupted. Many benefits are reaped through these systems in the judiciary. The offsprings of many judges are also getting special benefits.

There should be a neutral investigation of the Judicial systems so that a trust is developed on the judiciary, he concluded.
