Sabeer Nelli Meets Kerala's Minister and Key Industry Leaders at WEF 2026 to Discuss State's Vision for Global Innovation and Sustainable Growth

Few places mirror the contrast between Kerala’s tranquil backwaters and the snow-capped peaks of Davos like the World Economic Forum. At Davos, Kerala’s quiet charm meets the global stage, where regional transformation aligns with the world’s most forward-thinking leaders. Sabeer Nelli, CEO of Zil Money, recently engaged with Kerala’s delegation at this global forum, including Honorable Minister P. Rajeev and prominent figures like V.K.C. Razak and Joseph Michael Kallivayalil. The meeting highlighted Kerala’s vision for sustainable industrial growth and positioning the state as a global hub for future-ready industries.
A Landmark Meeting: Sabeer Nelli and Minister P. Rajeev
A significant highlight of Sabeer Nelli’s participation at WEF 2026 was his meeting with Minister P. Rajeev. This meeting provided Sabeer with deeper insight into the government’s vision for Kerala, centered around "Responsible Investment and Responsible Industry." The government’s focus on building a sustainable, business-friendly ecosystem is seen as a strategic approach to making Kerala a global leader in future-ready industries.
Sabeer Nelli shared his thoughts on the ongoing transformation of Kerala's industrial landscape, emphasizing that the state's vision for responsible growth aligns with his own initiatives in the region, particularly through projects like Silicon Jeri. Sabeer pointed out that the success of initiatives like Silicon Jeri, a tech hub in the Malabar region, highlights Kerala’s potential to drive both local and global economic development.
“It is inspiring to see the Kerala delegation showcasing the transformational changes in our state’s industrial landscape," Sabeer remarked. He stressed the importance of platforms like WEF in strengthening the state’s narrative: “Kerala to the World.”
Minister P. Rajeev emphasized that Kerala's second consecutive participation in the WEF builds on the momentum of its inaugural 2025 appearance. The 2025 summit was a catalyst, significantly boosting the success of the Invest Kerala Global Summit. “The summit has driven global investment in Kerala,” said Rajeev, noting that 20.8% of proposed projects are now operational, creating 40,439 jobs. He added that this year’s participation aims to attract more investors, especially in IT, medical devices, tourism, and emerging technologies, while ensuring environmental sustainability.
Key Figures in the Kerala Delegation
Sabeer also met with Razak VKC, Chairman of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Kerala State Council and Chairman & Managing Director of VKC Footgear Pvt Ltd. Razak shared his role with the CII Delegation in supporting the Kerala government’s efforts to attract investments. In their discussions, Sabeer and Razak delved into the future of Kerala's manufacturing sector and how Kerala-based industries can leverage global platforms like Davos to scale international trade and innovation. The "Kerala to the World" narrative, they agreed, is becoming stronger with each passing year.
Another important discussion took place with Mr. Joseph Michael Kallivayalil, Vice Chairman of the CII Kerala State Council and Managing Director of Glenrock Rubber Products Pvt Ltd. Joseph shared his experience at the first day of the Davos conference, and his insights resonated with Sabeer’s vision for the region’s economic future. The focus of their talks was centered around the possibilities for Kerala’s industries to make their mark globally.
Silicon Jeri: A Symbol of Kerala’s Vision
Sabeer Nelli’s commitment to Kerala’s growth is embodied in Silicon Jeri, a 30,000-square-foot tech hub in Malabar. This flagship innovation center is designed to support startups and tech companies, offering world-class infrastructure to foster entrepreneurship. Silicon Jeri aligns with Kerala’s broader mission of developing a talent-rich ecosystem for future industries. Through this project, Sabeer is contributing to Kerala’s vision of creating high-value jobs while addressing the region’s infrastructure challenges.
Building on Silicon Jeri’s success, Sabeer’s long-term vision includes Zil Park, an expansive 100-acre innovation and education center. Though still in the conceptual phase, Zil Park is designed to be a state-of-the-art facility that will promote collaboration between startups, tech companies, and educational institutions. This initiative aims to position Kerala as a global leader in technological innovation.
Minister P. Rajeev emphasized the Kerala government’s dedication to attracting global investments while preserving environmental integrity. With multiple GCC (Global Capability Center) investments already secured, Kerala’s high talent pool makes it an ideal destination for future investments. Silicon Jeri and Zil Park are key to nurturing innovation sustainably, supporting both economic growth and social progress in the region.
Looking Ahead: Kerala’s Vision for Global Leadership
As Kerala continues its journey at the World Economic Forum, its commitment to sustainable industrial growth and responsible investment remains central to its global strategy. With initiatives like Silicon Jeri driving local innovation, and Zil Park paving the way for future developments, Kerala is poised to lead in sectors such as IT, medical devices, and emerging technologies. The state’s unique blend of talent, infrastructure, and sustainable development practices makes it an attractive destination for global investment.
