Becoming a male model in India is a dream of many young men, as they certainly believe that it is the first step that can take them closer to the glamour world, be that fashion or Bollywood. Many try but a very few of them succeed to accomplish a name.

Many are still confused that who are models and how to differentiate them? Either the ones who walk the ramp or someone who appears in television commercials or the ones who appear in magazine editorials or endorses a fitness brand.

In recent past, around 2015 models were categorized into fitness as well as fashion models which were never ever heard before since the whole ‘modelling’ scene started two decades ago in India. Fashion models are expected to be at least 6 feet tall in height, preferred to be lean and thin with perfect camera posing sense, style and attitude.

They are majorly known for walking the ramp, part of fashion editorials or face of aesthetic or fashion labels. Fitness models on the other hand are just like fashion models but with the difference of physique which is ripped, lean and muscular similar to that of a soccer player or any other athlete but at the same time also very photogenic. Fitness models are majorly known to endorse both commercials and fitness brands.

So, to make this little easier we spoke to “A dark horse” from the Indian modelling industry who is today one of the most successful names we have in the last decade. The road to Karan’s success wasn’t that easy, it all came with patience and tremendous hard work despite of getting an easy break as a model while working for an advertising firm at a very young age.

Today 32-year-old fitness and fashion model Karan Oberoi also referred by his name initials KO, has not just been a successful fashion model all these years but has also earned his name in the space as a fitness model. All this together puts him in an exclusive narrow league of models where very few have become that successful. Karan also came in the national limelight in the year 2018 when he was featured in Hindustan Times lifestyle editorials in respect to fashion and fitness every other day. Karan is also one of the most commercial photographed face despite being unconventionally good looking who has worked with many commercial and fashion photographers.
