Bangalore-based progressive rock band, Rainburn is out with a music video for the single titled Merchant of Dreams.
While the song leans heavily towards progressive rock acts such as Dream Theater and Porcupine Tree, the accompanying music video sends out a message that’s very much their own. The opening message sets the theme for the song.
Before the cymbals begin to clang, the first few lines read, “Standing on the shoulders of giants to see the road ahead/ Sightless, ourselves, we’re sold the vision of their mind’s eyes.”
The music video depicts the idea of selling dreams to people (hence the title). The visual narrative includes historical figures such as Albert Einstein and Martin Luther King Jr. sketched by an artist.
The band is working on a full-length album which will be released in January 2018. Suffice it to say that they have definitely sold us the dream of seeing what they have in store for us next!
