Seven-year-old Parmod was studying in the second standard. His mother, who is accused of killing the son, Rekha, alias Baby has given Supari to her alleged lover Thimmanagowda to kill her son.
Pramod was studying in the Ramakrishna School at Choradi in Shivamogga. The boy had gone missing since June 2. It is alleged that Thimmanagowda had kidnapped the boy and killed him. Later, the child’s body was found near Kumudvathi River.
Rekha had married Verrabhadra of Hirekeroor taluk, 10 years ago. But there were differences of opinion between the couple and both could not stand each other. The couple decided to separate just six months after the marriage.
Rekha delivered a son but refused to go back to the husband. But the rumours about Rekha having an illicit affair with Thimmanagowda made the police go after the man. They took him for questioning. During police interrogation, Thimmanagowda has agreed to the crime.
He said that Rekha was irritated by the presence of the boy because she found it difficult to be in a relationship with him when the son was around.
The police have filed a case in this regard and investigation is on.
