Congress MLA Vijayanand Kashappanavar from Hungund is in the news again for a wrong reason. It is alleged that yet again, he rammed a bike and left the place without even stopping to see the degree of injury the bike-borne man had suffered.
Earlier too, Kashappanavar was in the news for a bar brawl with policemen. This time, MLA was travelling from Chikkamagalur to Mangaluru district in his car. When his vehicle was travelling near Moodigere bridge, it hit a bike. But without stopping even for a minute, the car sped past the bike and the motorist who was hit badly.
However, taking note of the situation, the localites chased Kashappanavar's car and forced him to halt near Bilakagula. According to reports in Suvarna, Kashappanavar instead of enquiring about the issue or injury started arguing with the people who had stopped him.

This time too people were in no mood to let Kashappanavar go and argued with him to the extent that Kashappanavar visited the bike-borne man in the hospital, who was being treated there.
But there too the people who admitted the injured to the hospital took the MLA to task and started an argument. Understanding the gravity of the situation, the MLA left the place without making much noise.
It can be remembered that in June 2014, Kashappanavar was in the news as a FIR was filed against him for slapping a police constable on duty. MLA had organised a party at Skyye Bar and pub at UB City in Bengaluru. Two police constables attached to the Cubbon Park Police Station went on a beat and found that the bar was open at 1 am. As per the procedure goes they started video graphing the inside of the bar.
Angry Kashappanavar along with rowdy sheeter Somashekhar Gowda started arguing with the police and allegedly slapped one of the policemen. A FIR was lodged against the MLA even in that incident.
