Minister writes to Centre urging ban on blue whale game

Minister instructs to create awareness about Blue Whale game at all schools colleges

Concerned over the deaths of children due to dreaded Blue Whale game, Primary and Secondary Education Minister Tanveer Sait has directed the Education department officials concerned to create awareness at schools and colleges on the perils of playing the Blue Whale Challenge online game. He has also requested State and Central Information Technology Departments to ban such unhealthy internet sites, reports Kannada Prabha.

He instructed the officials to issue handbills and advertisements in the paper explaining the perils of playing the game. More and more children are falling prey to the online game without understanding the perils of it. Majority of the parents are unaware of the game. So, it is important for the education officials to educate the children in schools and colleges against the game.
