Usually, AICC vice-president is a post created for special occasion. It was meant for Rahul Gandhi. Now, that Rahul Gandhi is going to be the president of AICC, it was thought that the post of Vice President would be abolished. However, taking into consideration the BJP's tactic of taking several decisions to woo Dalit votes, the Congress may want to retain the post and make Mallikrajuna Kharge the vice-president to counter BJP’s dalit face Kovind as President. According to sources, if Rahul Gandhi becomes AICC president and Kharge vice-president then Priyanka Gandhi also can take active role at AICC, reports Kannada Prabha quoting sources.Â
