Mahadev held the first meeting on Friday after taking charge as the president of Standing Committee, with the officials of tax, finance and advertisement departments. He instructed them to remove all illegal banners from the City  in three days. He also directed the officials concerned to find out who put up them and take legal action and slap a fine on them. If the officials fail to do so, complaints would be lodged against them with the Commissioner, he warned.

He also instructed the officials to see that nobody escapes paying tax and effective tax collection is carried out to help develop the City. Since election year is fast approaching honest efforts must be made from now to present a good budget, he advised the officials.
