PFI leader among two arrested for RSS worker Sharat Madiwala's murder

2 arrested in RSS Sharath killing case

The Magnaluru police have arrested two persons in connection with the killing of Sharath Madivala, an RSS worker, on July 4 during Bantwal clashes in Dakshina Kannada. The arrest comes after 40 days of rigorous search in four states by the police. The arrested include a Popular Front of India (PFI) leader and another from Chamarajanagar, reports Kannada Prabha.

However, the main accused are still at large and within three days they too will be arrested, said the police. Abdul Shafi (36) resident of Indira Nagar in Munnur, Bantwal and Khaleelullah (30) of Galipura, Chamarajanagar are the arrested. The police are looking for five more persons alleged to be behind Sharat's killing and they would be apprehended in another two to three days, reports Kannada Prabha quoting Western Range IGP Harishekharan.  

The Mangaluru police have sought details of Khaleelullah, the PFI leader of from Chamarajanagar SP. Abdul Shafi also reportedly belong to PFI but these details are yet to be ascertained. The preliminary information states that these two helped the killers by providing shelter and arranged vehicles, reports Kannada Prabha.
