Amid preparations for Bhoomi Pujan for the Ram temple in Ayodhya, the Sunni Waqf Board has announced the names of nine members, declaring a Trust instituted for the construction of a mosque at Rounahi in Ayodhya.

Sunni Waqf Board president Zufar Ahmad Farooqui said that a trust named 'Indo Islamic Cultural Foundation' has been formed for the construction of a mosque, a research centre, a library, and a hospital on the five-acre land allotted. It will have a total of nine members. Farooqui said that he will be the chief trustee and chairman of this trust.

Farooqui said that the board will be the founding trustee and the chief executive officer of the board will be its ex-officio representative.

Last year, on November 9, the Supreme Court, while giving a historic verdict on the Ram Janmabhoomi Babri Masjid dispute allowed for the construction of a Ram temple at the disputed site and also ordered a five-acre piece of land to be allotted for the construction of a mosque at a prominent place in Ayodhya.
