Soldier killed, 2 injured in Pakistani shelling along LoC

An Indian Army was killed and two others were injured on Sunday in firing and shelling by Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

Shahpur: An Indian Army soldier was killed and two others were injured on Sunday (June 14) after heavy shelling by Pakistan along the Line of Control (LoC). The incident occurred in Shahpur-Kirni sector of Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district, police said.

The injured soldiers have been airlifted to the Command Hospital in Udhampur for further treatment, they added.

On June 12, an Indian was killed, and two others were injured after Nepal Police fired indiscriminately at them on the border near Sitamarhi district of Bihar.

Vikesh Yadav (22), who suffered a bullet injury in the abdomen area, has succumbed, while Uday Thakur (24) and Umesh Ram (18) are injured and admitted to a private hospital in Sitamarhi, which is around 85km from Bihar’s capital Patna, according to the officials.
