Top Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan is among the eight people detained by the Narcotics Control Bureau when it busted a rave party onboard a cruise ship off the Mumbai coast on Saturday night.

NCB personnel, who were on board the Cordelia Cruises' Empress ship from Mumbai to Goa following a tip-off, recovered banned substances and narcotics like cocaine, hashish and MDMA.

Sources said that NCB officers led by Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede went undercover and posed as cruise passengers. The raids began immediately after the drug party began on board the ship mid-sea.

Wankhede and his team brought the detainees ashore and took them straight to the NCB office in south Mumbai.

NCB Mumbai Director Sameer Wankhede informed that eight persons -- Aryaan Khan, Arbaaz Merchant, Munmun Dhamecha, Nupur Sarika, Ismeet Singh, Mohak Jaswal, Vikrant Chhoker, Gomit Chopra -- are being questioned in connection with the raid at an alleged rave party at a cruise off Mumbai coast.

Six organisers of the party on board the cruise ship have been called in for questioning at the NCB office at 11 PM.

The baggage of the passengers is being examined as well, sources added.

The NCB has been painstakingly unravelling the Bollywood drug nexus ever since it began investigating the narcotics angle in the Sushant Singh Rajput death case. The NCB had arrested actor Arjun Rampal's girlfriend and South African national Agisilaos Demetriades in a cocaine case for the second time.

A similar probe is underway in Hyderabad where several high-profile actors have been questioned by the NCB and the ED in connection with a racket that was busted in July 2017.
