A retired Navy officer will now have to think a hundred times before sharing any message on social media henceforth as mob mentality has swept Mumbai. Voicing an opinion against the government could cost one her or his peace.

After Kangana Ranaut faced abuse and demolition of her property for taking on Maharashtra CM and calling Mumbai as POK, the retired officer was beaten by Shiv Sena activists for sharing a cartoon.

The officer had shared a cartoon featuring CM Uddhav Thackeray on WhatsApp in a group. Irked by this, about 8 to 10 members attacked him on Friday.

The message soon spread causing embarrassment to the Maharashtra government.
