The Burdwan police administration said that the route of the roadshow in which JP Nadda is supposed to take part has been changed due to security reasons. The BJP is making final preparations for the roadshow in the new route. The central leadership is present in East Burdwan to make the visit of JP Nadda to the state a grand success.

BJP state president JP Nadda is coming to West Bengal tomorrow (January 9). Last time, Nadda visited Diamond Harbour. However, this time he is scheduled to visit Burdwan district. The BJP state president is scheduled to do a roadshow in Burdwan. But the police did not give permission for the roadshow at the BJP's preferred place because the area was very crowded. Instead, there has been discussion of holding a procession on another route. The BJP planned a different route because they did not get permission from the police.

After the meeting in Katwa, JP Nadda will hold a meeting in Burdwan city. Instead of the previous plan, this time it will be a roadshow from Birhata on GT Road to Curzon Gate. The distance between the two spots is less than one kilometer.

MP Sukanta Majumder expressed anger against the police for not giving permission to hold the roadshow in the previous route which was planned by the BJP leaders. He said, 'Police-administration is listening to Mamata Banerjee’s words everywhere. SPs are not SPs, they are Trinamool district presidents. If the police can't provide security to JP Nadda, then it is their futility.”
