Since his Independence Day speech addressing human rights abuses in Balochistan on August 15, PM Narendra Modi has gained significant support from Baloch leaders. In recent days, protesters in China and even Germany have made pro-Modi slogans.

On Monday, an ANI video showed Baloch and Sindhi leaders chanting “PM Modi for Balochistan” outside Chinese Embassy in London, where they were protesting against the China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC).

Balochistan is the hub of the CPEC, connecting China’s Xinjiang province with Pakistan. While interacting with the media, World Sindhi Congress Chairman Lakhu Luhana said: “We won’t accept the CPEC project at any cost.”

ANI quoted Baloch leader Noordin Mengal saying “Want to tell Pakistan and China that they can do nothing in Balochistan without the consent of Baloch people.”

Similarly last Saturday, dozens of exiled Baloch activists in Germany on Saturday lauded Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his stirring call to Pakistan to end its atrocities in Balochistan.

During the protest held in the town of Leipzig, the Baloch activists were seen flying the Indian flag and shouting pro-Modi slogans; Times Now had reported.

Even in Balochistan Modi is being seen as a hero, where the protestors carried framed pictures of Narendra Modi along with that of deceased Baloch martyr Akbar Bugti.

And to add this, now a grandson of Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti, the Baloch martyr killed ten years ago by the Pak army, also has come out in support of Modi. In an event on Monday, Brahumdagh Bugti profusely thanked Modi and urged other 'secular democracies', especially the United States, to follow his lead, according to The Wire.
