Posters of Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai reading 'PayCM' surfaced in multiple parts of Bengaluru on Wednesday. According to reports, the Congress has shared a video showing these posters while the ruling BJP is yet to respond to them.

The posters have been made on the lines of digital wallet PayTM and in them, Bommai's face figures in the middle of a QR code with the message '40% accepted here'.

The video was shared by Congress youth president Srinivas BV on Twitter. The video showed several posters in Bengaluru and he captioned the post, "40% - PayCM Karo! Streets of Bengaluru right now."

It is reportedly said the QR code will redirect people to the '40% Commission Government' website that was recently launched by Congress to file complaints against the Chief Minister.

Soon after the matter came to the notice of the authorities, these posters in public places were removed.

The development has come amid an aggressive campaign by Congress against the Karnataka government. The grand old party has accused the state government of doing corruption in awarding public contracts and recruitments in government jobs.

Earlier this month, Karnataka Congress chief DK Shivakumar had accused the Basavaraj Bommai government of charging as much as 40% commission while granting government tenders.
