A confidence exuding Yadav had claimed that the Uttar Pradesh residents are fed up with the incumbent BJP and that would let SP likely win 400 seats in 2022 Assembly polls. He also said the ruling party BJP will not easily find candidates for all seats.
Kicking off a ‘Cycle Yatra’ in all districts of Uttar Pradesh on Thursday, the Samajwadi party highlighted issues like price rise, farm laws, and poor law and order during the current BJP government.
Addressing a press conference before starting the Cycle Yatra from SP headquarters in Lucknow on Thursday, Yadav said, till now we were claiming to win 350 plus seats in the 2022 state assembly polls in the state but now people are so upset with the BJP that Samajwadi Party might get 400 seats. People are unhappy with the BJP and they will not find candidates on all the seats. The BJP has oppressed and harassed Brahmins, Dalits, and Muslims in the state.
The Samajwadi Party will also launch ‘Prabuddh Sammelan’ – a conference aimed at regaining the trust of Brahmin voters.
Uttar Pradesh is all set for the upcoming Assembly elections in 2022 and political parties are locking horns to reach the helm of power.
