Former Tamil Nadu CM Eddapadi Palaniswami said that VK Sasikala's leaked phone conversation with few party cadres will have no bearing on 1.5 crore AIADMK cadres and said that all that is being done (leaked phone conversation) is for 'media publicity'.

Recently Sasikala's phone call with few cadres went viral in which the controversial leader was heard telling that she would return to active politics and set the party right.

Following the development, the party had suspended many caders under the provision of 'anti-party activity.

Referring to the leaked audio conversation, Palaniswami said that she (Sasikala) can talk to 1000 cadres but it will not have any impact on the party.

"She is not with the AIADMK and has no contact with the party. It is the media that is giving her more publicity. There is a lot of important news, all that they're not showing. There aren't any vaccines available in many districts. Where are you showing this? Not just 10, let her interact with 1,000 persons, the 1.5 crore cadre strong AIADMK will not be affected," Palaniswami was quoted saying as per reports.

Few days ago, based on the life threat complaint against Sasikala and her supporters by AIADMK leader CV Shanmugam, a case under Sections 506 (1) (criminal intimidation), 507 (criminal intimidation by an anonymous communication) and 109 (punishment for abetment) of the IPC and section 67 of the IT Act was registered.
