CM Yediyurappa should be given respect, says Congress Lingayat face MB Patil
Amidst rumours of replacing BS Yediyurappa as CM, not just BJP leaders but Congress leaders also have come in support of him saying he should be treated with utmost dignity for building the party and bringing the saffron party to power.
A big development took place in Karnataka politics as Congress party's Lingayat face MB Patil has come out in open support of BS Yediyurappa after reports of his exit were doing the rounds.
Patil said that since Yediyurappa is a tall leader and considering this, he should be treated with dignity.
There were reports doing the rounds that Yediyurappa will be replaced soon.
The leader also contended that he is a Lingayat from Congress party and it is not appropriate for him to comment anything on BJP matters and a reported change of guard and replacing Yediyurappa.
It is said that Yediyurappa will resign stating health reasons and also meet all MLAs in this regard. However, his son BY Vijayendra dismissed reports saying the MLAs are being invited as CM will be completing two years in office.
However, support from Patil has not gone down well with BJP leader Malavika Avinash as she did not like Patil supporting statements to CM and his interference in BJP matters.
She hit back saying Patil should first set the Congress party in order and the party should be worried about the trouble brewing between Shivakumar and Siddaramaiah camps over who should be the next CM.
