Ashish, a mass leader, and popularly known as ‘Vikash Purush’ won the elections and was elected for the post of the Chairman of Hathras Municipal Council in 2017. Understanding that connectivity and better infrastructure is the first step towards his goal, he has ensured several changes.
Hathras has witnessed several road projects coming up and a lot of old damaged roads were renovated which led to a sharp decline in traffic jams in the city. To solve the decade-old drainage problem of the city, he has emphasized innovation and new technology. Ashish Sharma has ensured that the city gets an effective sewage treatment plan. A city is ranked according to the basic amenities it provides to the people and knowing this, the Chairman has made proper preparations in order to ensure that his dear people get an adequate amount of clean drinking water.
Talking about the terrible times of Covid when hardly any politicians were to be seen among the public, Ashish Sharma was the man who was 24*7 on the ground looking after people and taking care of their requirements. He made sure people were provided with free ration kits and other medical facilities. He also helped a lot of people with their financial needs. The dynamic leader made sure that cleanliness and hygiene remain his topmost priority. He introduced a new endeavor under which all the aspects related to cleanliness were taken care of at night making it convenient for the cleaners to sanitize the space. Ashish is also committed to the development of a community center which will help the poor and the underprivileged people for hosting their functions free of cost.
Tourism industry has a lot of potential in contributing to the development and growth of a state as well as country as a whole. Hathras has historical significance too and so this makes it an ideal city to explore the vast potential of the sector. Ashish Sharma, the chairman is on a mission to revamp the beautification of the city and he is closely working on the possibilities of how he and his administration can make the city a tourist destination. He has ordered the renovation of the historical “Ghantaghar.”
The “Ghantaghar” is almost 200 years old and hence he is ensuring that it is renovated in such a way that it enhances the beauty of the city making it a tourist spot which can provide employment opportunities for the locals. Hathras is also known for its 10000 sq ft pond which is a very famous tourist attraction. Ashish is planning to revamp it and convert it into a picnic spot where people can enjoy the beauty of nature with their family and friends.
P. Ashish Sharma is the man who has often been credited by people for his exemplary work. It is probably the best thing for people if their elected representatives stand by them in their tough times. Since his elevation as the chairman, he has been bringing several changes which have impacted people’s life for a good cause. He is in no mood to rest till his agenda of making Hathras a modern smart city that’s worth living comes true.
