Indian Navy's MiG-29K aircraft has crashed in the Arabian sea.
The fighter aircraft was reportedly on a training mission.
One pilot has been recovered. A search and rescue operation is in progress to look for the second pilot.
The pilots reportedly had to ditch the aircraft around 5pm yesterday evening during a training flight.
The Navy has instituted an inquiry to ascertain the cause of the crash.
This is the fourth MiG-29K aircraft that the Indian Navy has lost in less than 4 years.
The MiG 29K is a 4++ generation, swing role, supersonic fighter aircraft, inducted in 2016. The aircraft brought with them the capability of air dominance, and the capability to operate from the deck of INS Vikramaditya
