Dreaded militant group ISIS has sent an image of a beheaded man to the spiritual leader Sri Sri Ravi Shankar, rejecting the guru’s proposal to initiate any peace dialogue.

The spiritual leader shared his experience while interacting with media in Tripura yesterday.

“I tried to initiate peace talks with the ISIS (Islamic State of Iraq and Syria) recently but they sent me a photograph of a beheaded body of a man. Thus, my effort for a peace dialogue with the ISIS ended,” a report quoted the spiritual guru.

“I think the ISIS does not want any peace talks. Hence, they should be dealt by the military.”

The Art of Leaving guru Shankar, who was in news recently for hosting the World Cultural Festival on the banks of river Yamuna in Delhi, is on a three –day visit to Tripura.

In March this year, a British daily had reported that the Padma Vibhusan awardee was seeking to reach out to the militant group to bring an end to ruthless killings and violence.
