Infosys appoints Rajesh Krishnamurthy as president

Veteran Rajesh Krishnamurthy has been promoted to company president after the seventh senior executive at Infosys left in a row since Vishal Sikka took charge as the CEO.

Earlier, Rajesh Krishnamurthy was earlier holding the executive vice-president and the head of energy and utility position. It was only recently that Rajesh had replaced Sanjay Purohit as the head of consulting.

According to a TOI report, Infosys CEO Vishal Sikka in an email addressed to the employees said, "Our consulting team saw some short-term challenges in the first quarter, and under Rajesh's leadership, is now poised to restore itself to grow and evolve towards the tip of our spear, a unit that helps elevate our conversation with clients."

Manish Tandon, executive VP has also quit the company after having worked at Infosys for over 20 years. His healthcare, insurance, and life sciences portfolio will now be split between company presidents.
