Now a biopic on yoga guru Baba Ramdev would be telecast on TV. Indian TV channel Sony Entertainment Television (SET) will telecast a 90-minute film on 1 May on the life of the yoga guru. The film will also showcase his contribution to popularising Yoga and the business of his brand Patanjali Ayurved Ltd.

According to a report, the film has been funded by Baba’s trust Patanjali Yogpeeth. The report also adds that the trust is working on similar deals with other Television channels. To reach out to a larger audience, his films would be dubbed into regional languages.

The movie has been written and directed by former actress Kavita Chaudhry, who played the role of an IPS officer in Udaan in the 1980s.

Baba Ramdev’s brand in recent months has been challenging the dominant leaders of branded consumer items.
