Neeraj Chopra continues to be India’s newest celebrity after clinching an Olympic gold. Meanwhile, he paid a visit to India’s first gold-medalist Abhinav Bindra and earned a cute little gift from him.
Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra has made a name for himself after winning the gold medal during the Tokyo Olympics. Consequently, it has made him India’s newest celebrity.
Meanwhile, on Wednesday, Neeraj met India’s first Olympic gold medalist Abhinav Bindra at his residence in Delhi. He also shared some pictures of the same.
In one of the pictures, Chopra was also seen posing with Bindra’s family, along with their respective gold medals.
However, the picture that caught everyone’s attention was Chopra receiving a cute gift from Bindra. It happened to be a Golden Retriever puppy named ‘Tokyo’ by the latter.
Chopra was also seen playing with the puppy while he captioned his post, “Started my time off by spending a wonderful afternoon with @abhinav_bindra sir and his family. Was able to introduce my medal to its elder sibling from Beijing and also enjoyed the warm hospitality of the Bindra family. Thank you, sir, for hosting us and for introducing me to ‘Tokyo’, the newest member of the Chopra family! 🇮🇳🥇🥇🐶”.
Bindra also shared some similar pictures with Chopra and the puppy on his social media handles, with both posing with the puppy.
“Was a pleasure to meet and interact with India’s golden man @neeraj____chopra . Am sure that “Tokyo” will be a supportive friend and motivate you to get a sibling named Paris for him in 2024!” Bindra captioned the post.
