Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are the two modern-day legends and GOATs of football, who are no less than magicians on the field. While they are not real-life magicians, have you ever wondered which magic house would they belong to at Hogwarts?
The sport of football has seen numerous legends stepping onto the field and scripting records, as well as top moments. Meanwhile, some are so good that they are no less than magicians.
Nonetheless, they can barely perform magic in real-life. However, have you ever wondered which magic house at Hogwarts would some of these footballers fit in if given a chance? We take a look.
Giorgio Chiellini (Ravenclaw): As for Ravenclaw, the house is for those who have immense knowledge and wisdom. While it’s baffling how Hermione Granger was not drafted to his house, we do know that Chiellini would surely fit in here. Besides being a top footballer, he has an immense wealth of knowledge, as he holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and commerce. He also holds a masters degree in the same, from the University of Turin.
Andreas Iniesta (Hufflepuff): For Hufflepuff, one needs dedication and loyalty. Going by the same, Iniesta stayed dedicated and loyal to Barca for most of his career, spanning from 1996-2018. He also happened to have signed a lifetime contract at the club. Although he now plays for Vissel Kobe, he is at the dire end of his career. Furthermore, his services to Barcelona have been more than enough and would forever remain priceless.
Luis Suárez (Slytherin): Slytherin happens to be the house for conniving and ambitious ones. The footballer that clearly fits the ranks is Uruguay’s Luis Suarez. He is well-known for his cunning tactics, while he is always hungry to score goals in the most brutal way possible. Also, he is infamous for biting his opponents, as he did so on three occasions. Nonetheless, some Slytherins are also known for their lovely heart, and we do know that Suarez is a gentleman outside the field of football.
Lionel Messi (Hufflepuff): Just like Iniesta, Messi too deserves to be in this house. He has forever stayed loyal to Barca, as nothing seems to be taking him away from the Catalans. While the modern-day GOAT has come close to leaving, his dedication seems to be unparalleled. The Argentine has time and again chosen to stay loyal at the club, extending his contract almost every year.
Cristiano Ronaldo (Gryffindor): When it comes to Gryffindor, the house belongs to the ones who are courageous and determined. Harry Potter was a worthy member of the house, and as for a footballer, the fellow modern-day GOAT from Portugal, Cristiano Ronaldo, too, fits in. A member from Sporting Youth coaching once said, “Ronaldo was a great player also in his your age. He was courageous and strong mentally. The ball was part of his body.” Ronaldo also defends the innocents, as he once supported a boy, who tried to speak to him in Portuguese, which is typical of Gryffindorians.
