The study, which was published in Family Relations, discovered that dating couples' commitment remained unchanged. Watching movies together and reliving old memories were activities linked with love for individuals who were dating. Household duties, cooking, and watching movies together were all connected with love among married couples.

Kanika K. Ahuja, co-author and PhD, of India's Lady Shri Ram College for Women, said COVID-19 had caused collateral damage via love in relationships. She went on to say that the secret to preserving love is how couples spend their time together and that watching movies together, reminiscing about pleasant experiences, and sharing duties resulted in a stronger connection.

She said, "While it is widely thought that the gateway to a man's heart is through his stomach, the data demonstrate that a comparable channel exists for women as well, if guys want to use that route." She went on to say that in order to adjust to the new normal, the conventions that characterise a relationship, including men's engagement in household tasks, must be reconsidered.
