West Bengal: Tragic accident in Purulia; fire erupts in lorry-trailer collision

A tragic accident took place in Purulia, West Bengal. A lorry and a trailer collided with each other, igniting a blaze. The driver of the trailer died due to fire in the trailer. Fire brigade and police reached the spot and brought the fire under control. The incident took place at Nadiha village on Purulia national highway 32. On the other hand, a bus lost control and overturned at Bishpuria intersection of Hura police station. Several passengers were injured in the accident.
The accident took place on Wednesday (September 24) night. The fire was so terrible that the driver of the trailer was burnt to death. The incident spread panic on the national highway.
According to reports, the accident took place on national highway No 32 in Purulia around one o'clock on Wednesday (September 24) night. The trailer collided with the lorry in Nadiha area. Firefighters and police arrived at the spot after the massive fire outbreak happened.
The fire was brought under control after several hours of efforts by the fire brigade. Police recovered the body of the driver of the burning trailer. Police have not been able to find out the identity of the driver yet. The body was sent to Purulia Sadar Hospital for autopsy.
Local residents claim that there is a need to control traffic on the national highway in the area. The speed of the two cars was very high at midnight. Therefore, the tragic accident took place.
Panic spread in the area due to the fire on the national highway. There was a risk of fire spreading in the nearby areas. The fire brigade reached and brought the situation under control.
On the other hand, in another accident, a bus carrying passengers fell into a paddy field. The incident took place around 4.30 am. The Purulia-bound bus from Kolkata fell at Nayanjuli.
According to police sources, some of the passengers on the bus were slightly injured. When the local people informed the police, the officials rescued the passengers and took them to the local primary health center.
