On his way to Dharmapuri district via Toppur, the chief minister suddenly decided to stop by the Adhiyamankottai police station. He met the personnel on duty, checked the daily station logs and asked about case registration and ongoing investigations at the police station.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin surprised policemen posted at a police station in the Dharmapuri district when he arrived unannounced and conducted a surprise inspection.
Chief Minister Stalin reviewed the files at the Adhiyamankottai police station and received a briefing from the station house officer.

The DMK government under Stalin has been appreciated for its various public welfare schemes. In the face of criticism over the law and order situation, the Tamil Nadu Police has stepped up patrolling and is keeping a close watch on history-sheeters and know criminals.

It is believed that the Tamil Nadu chief minister has issued strict instructions to prevent and bring down the number of murder and robbery cases in the state.
In this context, Chief Minister Stalin is on a two-day tour of Salem and Dharmapuri districts, where he is attending various events.
As part of that, the chief minister held consultations with entrepreneurs, entrepreneurs and women's self-help groups in the Salem district. From there, Stalin left for the Dharmapuri district.

According to sources, Stalin posed a few questions to the police personnel at the station in the presence of Tamil Nadu police top brass, including IG Sudhakar, ADGP Tamaraikkannan, ADGP Davidson Ashirwadham and Dharmapuri District Superintendent of Police Kalaichelvan, were present.
Photos of the chief minister's surprise visit to the police station have now gone viral on social media with many praising the move. Some said them also said that lockup deaths could have been avoided had such checks been done in the past.
